Want to keep track of and locate people wherever they could be? Well, there is a solution produced by Digital Zone for GlobalSat equipment

MOSCOW, Russia - April 15, 2008 - Digital Zone today announces that it has produced a software application for GlobalSat that will keep track and locate objects at any given moment regardless of where they might be. The application is called GPShome, and it enables cell phone owners to track and determine the location of any object using a GPS receiver. GPShome supports mobile phones with Java MIDP 2.0, Bluetooth and GPRS.

Once installed on the cell phone, GPShome connects to a GPS receiver produced by GlobalSat through Bluetooth. A sample model of this device can be viewed at http://globalsat.su/products_detail.php?main_id=210&p_id=167. Then the phone starts receiving information, such as coordinates, speed, height and other details from the receiver. At preset intervals, the phone sends this information to the GlobalSat server (http://www.gpshome.ru/), where the location of the object and its movements are visualized as tracks on the map based on Google Maps API. In a moment, you can see exactly where the object is within a few feet. Information about location and movements of the object can be viewed by the user or anyone who is granted access to do so.

The software has been tested on Sony Ericsson K800i and further testing will be done on other models. The product is exclusively included into the GlobalSat package.

GPShome is primarily aimed at parents who are concerned about the safety of a child and want to track the mobile phone to know where exactly the child is. And it is also good for business owners who want to track the mobile phones of employees in the work area or want to track a fleet of cars, trucks or other vehicles in real time.
